Time is running out: SEPTA and transit systems across PA are facing major service cuts and fare increases imminently. We need all hands on-deck to ensure we don’t lose our foundation, and can work to stabilize and grow our Commonwealth’s public transportation – urban, suburban, rural, and intercity.
Pennsylvania’s state legislature ended its session without a solution. Now, all power is truly in the hands of Governor Josh Shapiro. We’re demanding that he flex federal highway dollars to stave off SEPTA’s self-proclaimed “death spiral,” and keep other agencies from furthering their own decline.
To make this happen, we need your help! Use the resources below to contact Governor Shapiro, and raise the profile of this essential ask, online and off.
- Write an E-mail. Fill out our simple webform to contact Governor Shapiro and top staff to demand they take action to stop service cuts and fare increases.
- Make a phonecall. Use our script to call Governor Shapiro’s office and leave a message, asking him to make good on his promises to support public transportation.
- Write a Letter to the Editor. Use our guide to write a letter to the editor of your local newsmedia to illustrate resident support for public transportation
- Tell others online and IRL. Print and distribute our fliers at the transit stops and destinations you frequent to inform fellow riders of impending service cuts and fare increases.
