What’s Next: Winning Transit That Moves Us All

Thanks for joining us last Thursday to build a Platform for Visionary Transit! That call was just step one to winning funding by June 30.

Over 175 riders, advocates, and operators from across Pennsylvania signed up to share their stories, learn the background of our statewide campaign, and join the fight. Now, we need your help with research and communications, organizing in rural and suburban communities, analyzing funding solutions, and shaping our path to victory through the Spring.

On Wednesday, April 2, join our next statewide call to ratify the platform, and develop our campaign plan to push the PA legislature to action.

Live outside of the Philly or Pittsburgh metro areas? Meet your fellow rural and suburban transit advocates on Tuesday, March 18, and help us build a movement that understands transit moves EVERYONE.

Want to dig deeper? Join our Research and Communications committees to synthesize survey feedback, research funding solutions around the country, and build the storytelling tools that will win our campaign for funding.

All agencies decline sharply through 2021, before rebounding somewhat despite none reaching 100% by 2023.

The entire commonwealth has worse transit than it did in 2019. We must turn it around.

Want a recap, or missed some parts of our presentation? We’re here to help. We’ve been organizing for over a decade, leading to the formal creation of Transit For All PA in 2021 with the creation of our platform. More recently, we organized to prevent SEPTA’s imminent collapse in November, and in January ensured transit was the primary directive of Governor Shapiro’s annual budget address

We also need your feedback! As we choose the funding solutions that will allow service restoration across PA we want to hear from you. Take our brief survey to establish our goals and constraints, and how we can ensure the most equitable ways possible to fund PA transit.

A lot is happening, and it takes all of us! We can win when we organize with our peers and neighbors. Join our fight, and shape the demands of our movement for transit
